  Cool Heat, Burnin’ Beat  are a stunning six piece band featuring percussion maestro Steve Rushton and big band vocalist Louise Cookman, with a show celebrating the music of  jazz legends.

  Louise Cookman was a regular guest singer on Big Band Special on BBC Radio 2 and has of toured as guest vocalist for the BBC Big Band, Glenn Miller & Piccadilly Dance Orchestras and crooner Tony Jacobs. She has sung on Radio 2, 3 and 4, performed at Ronnie Scott’s, Cadogan Hall, the Queen Elizabeth and Royal Festival Halls. Louise also featured on BBC TV’s “Len Goodman’s Dancing Feet & Dance Band Days”. Steve Rushton has become one of the UK’s busiest and most in-demand drummers, with an impressive list of credits to his name. A flamboyant and stylish performer, he’s toured the world with Imelda May. Steve appeared at our Club with Tony Jacobs & Iain Mackenzie.

  Mick Foster has worked with many of the UK’s top big bands including the BBC Concert Orchestra. TV work includes BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing and ITV’s Downton Abbey.

  Paul Morgan has  worked  with  Peggy Lee, Don Lusher  and was  the principle bass with the BBC Radio Orchestra.

  Al Cherry has made numerous TV appearances, and  toured internationally with a variety of bands.

  Dave Priseman is a regular with Imelda May’s touring band and Ronnie Scott’s, has also appeared on  BBC Radio 4.
