    Vimala Rowe - Jazz, Blues & Swing

    Tonight Vimala will bring her top quartet including guitar legend John Etheridge to the Club for a great evening of Jazz, Blues & Swing.

    Enjoy favourite songs made popular by the greats such as Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughan, Bessie Smith  and Julie London to name just a few.

    ‘PIANORAMA’ – An exciting three piano extravaganza featuring Dave (Mr Stride) Browning, Jonathan Vinten, Al ‘Dente ‘ Dunn + Rhythm Section

    Al  ‘Dente’ Dunn  is the pianist for The Cosimo Matassa Project.

    Dave (Mr Stride) Browning from the Pete Allen Band plus his own band the Jazz Cats.

    Jonathan Vinten was the pianist with George Melly’s Feetwarmers for ten years.

    Accompanying them are double bassist Jerome Davies and former ‘Talk of the Town’ drummer Cyril Bevan. 

    Includes ‘Piano Madness’ with all three pianists playing simultaneously plus some boogie woogie!

    Critically-acclaimed Italian vocalist Irene Serra joins forces with gypsy jazz outfit La Bouche

    Manouche to create a special show called “An Evening With Django And Billie”. Brought

    together by their passion for jazz icons Django Reinhardt and Billie Holiday”, this

    performance will weave together the life story of these two seminal artists that were

    musical contemporaries and the music and songs that connected them.

    The mesmerising vocals of Irene Serra combined with the sizzling Gypsy Jazz influenced La

    Bouche Manouche will present a programme of music which pays homage to both iconic

    musicians with repertoire chosen from their most famous recordings. The performance will

    include much-loved tunes including “Nuages”, “Fine And Mellow”, “Les Yeux Noir” and

    “Jeepers Creepers”. Join us for a unique and upbeat celebration of some of most defining

    songs of the Golden era of jazz!

    Simply Swing, featuring young and upcoming vocalist Freddie Benedict, invite you to join them for a great evening of  song with a lively repertoire mix of Swing, Rat Pack, Jive, Ballads and Bossa Nova.

    Leader of the band, pianist Sandra Lambert has performed and recorded with Bette Midler, Humphrey Lyttelton, Cilla Black, Paul O’Grady, Helen Shapiro and The London Symphony Orchestra.  She has also played for the Royal Family at Buckingham Palace and the Prime Minister at No. 10 Downing Street.

    Hailing from an artistically theatrical family, Freddie Benedict has performed at the Royal Albert Hall, the Royal Opera House and Glyndebourne as well as the Spice of Life, the Hideaway, Jazz After Dark and Ronnie Scott’s.  He sells out the Crazy Coqs in Piccadilly and performs regularly at The Ritz and The Savoy.

    Simon Bates is Professor to The Royal Marines and has performed with many Strictly Come Dancing stars including Brendan Cole and Anton Du Beke.  He has also performed or recorded with artists such as Elvis Costello, Jamie Cullum, Rick Astley, Rick Wakeman, Chaka Khan,  Beverley Knight, John Dankworth and Cleo Laine.

    Jeff Lardner has recorded and toured with the world’s foremost musicians and singers including Van Morrison, Kylie  Minogue, Natalie Cole, Bobby Womack, Gregory Porter & Georgie Fame.

    With a phenomenal technique, bassist Paul Morgan has performed with artists such as Zoot Sims, Peggy Lee, Ronnie Scott, George Michael, Robbie Williams, BBC Radio Orchestra and the Len Phillips Swing Orchestra.

    Nobody does Frank Sinatra better than Stephen Triffitt. His voice, his moves, his style, even his looks – Stephen has made the great man his own. As one journalist put it “You’d swear you’re listening to the original. “Stephen created the role of Frank Sinatra in the original West End  cast of The Rat Pack – Live from Las Vegas as well as opening USA, Canadian and European productions. He has sold out the London Palladium twice and the Royal Festival Hall as well as Frank in the ‘Sinatra Live at the Sands Concert’ tour. Stephen has also completed a 3-year European tour of ‘Frankly Sinatra’

    Accompanying Stephen is this top quartet of musicians from the Len Phillips Swing & the Syd Lawrence Orchestras.
