  Peggy Lee – a dazzling icon of the jazz scene in the 40’s and 50’s was an enduring star who had great success throughout her career and went on to perform until she was well into her 70’s 

  She made over 50 albums covering many different styles of music giving them all her unique treatment – it seemed she could turn her voice to anything!’

  Catherine celebrates Peggy’s style including her greatest hits. The songs chosen explore wistfulness, irony, joyful memories, regret and out and out defiance!

  Catherine will include Peggy’s hits such as ‘Bye Bye Blackbird’, ‘These Foolish Things’, ‘Where or When’, ‘St Louis Blues’, ‘Goody Goody’ and ‘How Long Has This Been Going On’.

  Catherine and her excellent band will take you on a historical trip down memory lane.

  Nobody does Frank Sinatra better than Stephen Triffitt. His voice, his moves, his style, even his looks – Stephen has made the great man his own. As one journalist put it “You’d swear you’re listening to the original. “Stephen created the role of Frank Sinatra in the original West End  cast of The Rat Pack – Live from Las Vegas as well as opening USA, Canadian and European productions. He has sold out the London Palladium twice and the Royal Festival Hall as well as Frank in the ‘Sinatra Live at the Sands Concert’ tour. Stephen has also completed a 3-year European tour of ‘Frankly Sinatra’

  We welcome back the Jazz Dynamos who take well known songs and transform them with a mix of jazz, bossa, samba, and contemporary pop music – occasionally all at the same time! Their eclectic repertoire includes everything from classic Peggy Lee to Latin versions of Dolly Parton and Madonna hits – songs such as Matt Bianco’s ‘Half a Minute’ as well as those from the Great American Songbook with everything in-between.

  This range and crossover of material played to a high standard and presented in a unique way, plus their wonderful and engaging vocalist Lucy Randell, makes them ideal for a festival audience, appealing to both aficionados and those perhaps not so familiar with jazz.

  The arrangements themselves, by pianist Mark Adelman are as exquisite as they are surprising, many of which takes ownership of the songs in such a way that the original versions frequently seem dull by comparison!
