  Enjoy a melodious evening of classic film hits performed by Big Screen – an elegant British trio conceived by drummer Matt Skelton.  Matt’s work with the John Wilson Orchestra has made him well acquainted with jazz and he now takes on movie music.   Multi award-winning pianist David Newton and empirical double bassist Tom Farmer complete this absolute top quality line-up.

  The memorable themes given respectfully creative treatments by Dave Newton – a pianist with a sublime touch, a rich harmonic imagination and understated power to surprise – is ripplingly graceful on a whispering Chariots of Fire, light-stepping and jubilant over Skelton’s crisp brushwork and Farmer’s tuneful double bass. Other tunes performed include Hello Young Lovers, Old Man River, On the Street Where You Live, Hello Young Lovers, Wouldn’t it be Loverly, Bewitched and Get Me To The Church On Time.  This will, without doubt, be an evening to savour!
