  After their highly successful Big Screen Take One, we welcome them back for another melodious evening of classic film hits performed by Big Screen who are an elegant British piano trio conceived by drummer Matt Skelton, whose work with the John Wilson Orchestra has made him well acquainted with jazz now takes on movie music; 13 times British Jazz Award Winner pianist  David Newton and Empirical double bassist Tom Farmer complete this absolute top quality line-up.

  The memorable themes given respectfully creative treatments by Dave Newton – a pianist with a sublime touch, a rich harmonic imagination and understated power to surprise – is ripplingly graceful on a whispering ‘Chariots of Fire’, light-stepping and jubilant over Skelton’s crisp brushwork and Farmer’s tuneful double bass. Other tunes performed will include ‘Luck be a Lady,’ ‘Surrey With The Fringe on Top’, ‘Where or When,’ ‘Laura’, ‘Emily’ etc.
